The Motives of France
-The leader of France was George Clemenceau
-He wanted to weaken Germany so they could never wage war again
-Wanted severe reparations paid from them
Summary: As France and Germany did not get along and were considered mortal enemies, France was the most aggressive in regards to making Germany pay for the war. They wanted Germany to become so far in debt, that there would never be another chance of war occurring from them.
